Drums

Beginning as a self taught musician Ben fell in love with music and began replicating his favourite artists by ear. He is now a full time music tutor, session performer and composer specialising in the drum kit and the piano.

Since graduating in 2011 with a BMus (Hons) in Music Performance and Production from the London Centre of Contemporary Music (LCCM) Ben continues his self studies and dedicates his life to his passion.

In addition to providing workshops in schools and private tuition he is currently involved with five projects:

Two artists as a session drummer:

State of Play – Rock / Hip-hop (currently under management and receiving drum endorsements).

Fred Light – Singer-songwriter.

Two as a band member:

Hayley Cannon – Folk / Jazz

George Bird – Pop ballad.

One new project as a composer and a piano player:

The Missing Spoons – Jazz / Electro collaboration.

Ben heavily encourages creativity on both the piano and the drum kit as is seen through his performances and compositions.

Music Tuition:

To allow the student to develop their own voice I provide lessons on technical ability and stylistic understanding while always encouraging creativity.
